Welcome to Filigree Chocolaterie. Our story began with a simple desire: a drive for creating and sharing elegant chocolates and confections that make the little things in life more enjoyable. Every bite is full of our love and commitment to the craft, featuring locally sourced and high-quality ingredients.Â
Our owner and Red Seal Pastry Chef, Kent Lukey, combined his meticulous scientific knowledge and love of baking to create Filigree. He initially pursued a science degree at the U of R, but switched gears and took those skills to the kitchen, eventually receiving a Diploma in Baking and Pastry Arts from SAIT in addition to his Red Seal.Â
At Filigree, we strongly believe in the bee. It’s our symbol that represents hard work, diligence and prosperity. Without which, there would be no ingredients to create our incredible products with. Highlighting our continued commitment to sustainability, our packaging is carbon neutral and we utilize local and organic ingredients in all of our products. Small local businesses supporting each other, just like a bee colony.
